MAXIMIZING VALUE - MINIMIZING RISK: PART 1

Investing Tips

When seeking a trusted advisor, where do you begin? A good starting point is to ask yourself: How will this advisor help me to maximize the value of the wealth God has entrusted to me? Let’s explore some examples of what this might look like.

First off, what is your definition of value? It might simply be something that’s worth what you are paying or willing to pay. At Covenant Capital Management, we offer low fees compared to the industry at large. Our carrying costs are reduced to the lowest level, which translates into more money re-invested into your portfolio. Your definition of value might also include the desire for “little extras.” How does one advisor or firm go that extra mile? At Covenant Capital Management, our value-added services to our clients include discounted foreign currency exchange, access to holistic financial planning services, and a Biblically informed approach to investing.

For some, value might paint a picture of a team of experts who provide exceptional service. Our team has two CFA Charterholders, three Portfolio Managers, and two Associate Portfolio Managers with extensive expertise stemming from foreign currencies, trading, to portfolio management. Collectively, we work together to provide the client with prudent investment management and wise counsel. Our knowledge lies within a team of experts, but ultimately, our counsel is God-breathed. “Faithful to the Word of God in all advice, actions and strategies.” Psalm 119:105

Lastly, value might refer to that intangible factor that doesn’t simply get you “more bang for your buck.” At Covenant Capital Management, we go beyond portfolio management; we want to empower investors to be prudent stewards of their wealth. We do this through active listening to our clients’ needs. Our goal is to honour our clients’ wishes.

Entrusting your financial situation to a professional can be daunting. With the right fit, it will be liberating. “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed” Proverbs 15:22.
